What is Configure?
Configure is a user-owned system of record for agents. It recognizes the same user across agents and gives each agent user-approved context via API, MCP, or tool call.
What does Configure store?
Identity, preferences, connected app state, summaries, and per-agent memories. Complete conversation transcripts are not stored.
Can agents read each other's memories?
Only with user approval. Agents always write to their own namespace.
Can I use Configure before a user verifies their phone?
Yes. External user IDs get developer-scoped profiles until the user links identity.
Where do API keys belong?
Secret keys stay on the server. Publishable keys and hosted components run in the browser.
